UNEMPLOYMENT: ON THE DECLINE?

ow many people realized the state of the American economy before September 11th?  Were we in denial or oblivious?  Many people were under the impression that it was the attacks that brought about the fall of our economy, however, reports show that America's economic woes began as far back as March of 2001.

The 9/11 attacks brought the problems to light in a very harsh manner.  The layoffs occurring in the airline industry were like a giant slap across the face of America.  The reopening of Wall Street was a day of both pride and fear for millions of Americans.    We knew we had taken a hit and all we could do was sit back and just watch the market plummet.

he holiday season may find some people hunting for not only gifts for loved ones, but also for jobs for themselves.  Recent studies have shown that the winter months seem to be the prime time for a job seeker

to find employment.   The winter months may seem like the last season you would see people pounding the pavement in order to find a new place of employment, however the smart job seeker will realize these few, but crucial facts.
